Unexpected Thoughtfulness

Unexpected thoughtfulness:

First I will start with every year the VP of our region will send chocolates to the office as a way of showing his appreciation for all our hard work. Well last year I talked to his secretary thanking her (because I know she was the one who ordered them) but telling her I sent them home with my boss because I didn't want them in the office as a temptation. She even asked me can't you have one as a treat...I said "NO, my one's turn into half the box".

So this year I was dreading the chocolates coming and I even thought "should I call her and tell her to send them right to my bosses house...not even send them to the office." But I did nothing.

Well the chocolates came...they were so cute all in boxes piled up like a tree.

I thought "I will just peak inside to see what I am missing". Well to my surprise there was one box with Dark Chocolate with cacao...my eyes got really big and it took my breath away, I was so thrilled.

That secretary knows I am on an incredible journey and she wanted to support me along the way and yet still say thanks for all my hard work and commitment this past year. I was almost in tears...I wrote her an e-mail thanking her for being so thoughtful. That meant the world to me.

And no worries...I will only allow myself one as a special treat on occasion...my boss told me to take all the dark chocolate...they will last me a long time.

Such a great surprise and funny to read your blog today of all days... My husband and I got a special delivery from UPS today... my cousin (who TOTALLY KNOWS that we are on a weightloss journey) sent us a Mrs Fields cookies package! He was sooooo annoyed... saying... DOESN'T she KNOW what we are doing???? LOL

The weird thing is that she does. I'm not 100% sure why she did it and I'm way too polite to ask. I'm just going to let it be... we opened the box... divvied the cookies up between the three of us (my son, included...) and I put my portion in the freezer... I only hope now that my willpower is strong enough not to reach for them and eat them all at once! Grrrr!
