I probably shouldn't post excerpts when I am not certain where they come from but this one seems appropriate today. I think it might have been from a DR Phil book.
"Making a commitment requires courage, but the instant you make the commitment, wonderful and amazing things start to happen. The moment you commit yourself 100% (not 50%, not 75%), you begin to use part of your mind that most humans never tap into. You harness some amazing strength of your will. Obstacles evaporate. All the pieces of the puzzle start to come together.
You set into motion powerful forces that swiftly carry you to your goal. And you have passion about it. Real passion. And you're excited about what you're doing. You're really excited...If there is any one secret to succeeding at your weight loss, it is total commitment.
Set Daily goals and then commit yourself 100%. there is no middle ground with commitment. You''re either committed or you're not."
I have felt this way. I know this to be true and I want that again. I am committing to making some changes and to doing some streaking...One being exercise. At least 20 minutes of deliberate exercise a day. The other to logging my food daily.
I've been complacent far too long. It's not good enough to maintain at this point. So, this is my new years resolution of sorts.
It's time to commit or be committed :)
