The past 3 months flew by in a whirl wind of events and arts & crafts shows. Sales this year were the best we have ever experienced. After nearly five years in business, this was everything that we had been dreaming about. That kind of success is a double edged sword. Since my jewelry is all hand crafted I would have to sleep for a few hours and then get up at 1:30 or 2 am to complete special orders or simply make items to keep our displays filled.
We set up for 2 and 3 days shows nearly every single weekend. The time flew by. Between taking care of my grandson and working on new products for our business, there was never any time for anything extra and it was hard to stick to our exercise routine. We did fairly well on planning our meals, packing healthy foods and snacks, but there were times I was just too tired to log my meals or find time to utilize SparkPeople the way I should.
Our next show is not until the middle of January and while I will be working on new items, we will be taking long walks, enjoying the lights, family get togethers, and all the things that make the holidays so special. My house is now clean, we have begun the baking and I am enjoying taking a little time to just breathe.
