2nd 5K! Woot woot!

This past Saturday I ran my second 5K!! I dragged my tired body out of bed (just worked a 12 hr shift the night before), on a cold morning, to run for a great cause! The Sally Meyerhoff foundation. Sally was killed last year while training on a bike. She was an outstanding runner who had just won the Rock-n-Roll Marathon. It was a very moving, very exciting run. I was all by myself this time. No cheering section. Well, no cheering section made up of my family members. At the finish line many ladies were standing there cheering us that were bringing up the rear! It was fabulous. My time was the same as my first 5K, but I did it with more ease. And the course was much more hilly and difficult. But, more enjoyable also. I got teary-eyed again at the end. I still cant believe my body can do this.
Now, I have yet to see much of any weight loss from my jogging efforts. And I attribute that to my diet. Which still needs much improvement. Gotta keep running. And work on this diet of mine!
