So over the weekend my daughter began her first cheer competition. As my hubby didn't want to go I booked a hotel and we carpooled with someone up to San Jose. This is about 2-3 hours from where we live.
The weekend was fun and rather productive. Rumor has it all of the other Junior Large teams faked some injuries to become a Junior "small" team so they didn't have to compete against us, so we won by default. (remember they were undefeated last year) But, when the judges announced the girl's scores: us at 406 and the first place "small" division came in with 199....I guess I can see why.
Anyhow, I wanted to make this weekend special as it was just my youngest and I. I took her to the Winchester house of Mystery and we toured that. Kind of pricey but we both love old houses and this one, wow! I love it. I would tell those interested not to do the basement tour though. It's a basement. LOL
San Jose also had a Christmsa in the Park festival going on. Trin was my guide throughout the night (I did bring my cane) and we looked at all the lights and animations ( I LOVE animations) and the trains ( I LOVE TRAINS) and I felt so good and so upbeat that I said I would even go on the ferris wheel. and I did!
She said because I was "brave" enough to go on the ferris Wheel she would take me on the spinney rides ( I LOVE spinny rides)
There was one that was all sport related.
I had her take this one for Beth and Kim:
But we chose to go on this one:
Who by the way stomped Arizona 58-0 incase you hadn't heard ...
and we ended up with this face on the Seahawks spinney ride:
You know it.
