emoticon EA Sports Active 2 came today. The bad news is I'm pretty tired today again - I have a migraine (not as serious as the one yesterday). But. I've been looking forward to this game so I will start it up and see what it's all about. I have one more meal to eat (tuna and dill wrap) so I'm sort of hoping I finish my workout, meals, and water as soon as possible so I can relax the rest of the night.

emoticon I want to do some form of strength every day because I know how important it is (but of course I find cardio more fun). This was a game/challenge on Spark last year that I remembered. All you need is a deck of cards. Assign each suit to something (in my version, hearts = cardio, diamonds = core, clubs = upper body, and spades = lower body). Every morning, draw five cards. So, in my version, a 5 of diamonds would mean 5 reps of a core move. I assign a different move for each day of the week, too. So like today, my moves were:

Heart = high knees
Diamond = banana pose
Club = overhead shoulder press
Spade = lying abduction and lying adduction

Tomorrow I have another set of moves I will do if I draw that suit. I do 2 sets of each routine twice a day - in the morning and at night. Get it? It's not a big deal, but I find it fun.

emoticon Tomorrow I'm going to do a video blog review/first thoughts about EA Sports Active 2. Hydrating and getting ready to play a little.

    So glad you finally got your EASA2!! And doing ANY workout during a migraine is either insanely awesome or just insane. :)...depends on if it makes the pain worse or doesn't affect it at all...I hope today is bright and shiny and pain free!

    On the migraines, I saw a very interesting post in the Calling All Vegetarians & Vegans team. A member took the challenge to be vegan for a month and kept it up. She no longer has migraines! Not saying that is a trigger for you or that it would work for everyone -- just interesting to me that it worked for her.

    I hate migraines! I suffer from Chronic Migraines and they are no fun! I love the idea of cards to pick what you do for the day! I'm so going to do this! Was there a certain amount of Reps or anything your suppose to do if you pick core or If you pick Cardio how many minutes? Let me know how the game is! I have Biggest Loser on Wii and Just dance 2 . So much fun when video games are involved.

    I hope you like it. You're finding great ways to make working out fun. Glad your migraine is somewhat better. I'm still not feeling up to par either, but it's getting better. I think half my school is sick!

    That game you play with the cards is brilliant and fun and right up my alley. That is a great idea for a challenge for sure. Also you could easily adapt that card game to the custom workouts in EASA2, which I will have to try now...awesomeness!!
