EA Sports Active 2 came today. The bad news is I'm pretty tired today again - I have a migraine (not as serious as the one yesterday). But. I've been looking forward to this game so I will start it up and see what it's all about. I have one more meal to eat (tuna and dill wrap) so I'm sort of hoping I finish my workout, meals, and water as soon as possible so I can relax the rest of the night.
I want to do some form of strength every day because I know how important it is (but of course I find cardio more fun). This was a game/challenge on Spark last year that I remembered. All you need is a deck of cards. Assign each suit to something (in my version, hearts = cardio, diamonds = core, clubs = upper body, and spades = lower body). Every morning, draw five cards. So, in my version, a 5 of diamonds would mean 5 reps of a core move. I assign a different move for each day of the week, too. So like today, my moves were:
Heart = high knees
Diamond = banana pose
Club = overhead shoulder press
Spade = lying abduction and lying adduction
Tomorrow I have another set of moves I will do if I draw that suit. I do 2 sets of each routine twice a day - in the morning and at night. Get it? It's not a big deal, but I find it fun.
Tomorrow I'm going to do a video blog review/first thoughts about EA Sports Active 2. Hydrating and getting ready to play a little.
