Dec 11 Pictures of the peace and beauty of the home all decorated. I chose the picture for the elderly man [not santa but daddy or grandpa] dozing, open Bible at his side, cup beside him from traditional oyster stew on stack of books [maybe
seed catalogs?], tree lit in simple splendor with nativity underneath it... Ahhh what a real and Christ centered memory so very real to me of home on Christmas Eve only thing missing is candles, but with the onset of asthma this year, I guess they won't be lit anyway
Growing up, the pets were not allowed in the house but I just love this picture and know that the 13 years we had a little yorkie in this house, were special pet-filled days and just part of Christmas in my memmory bank.
Today would have been my Daddy's 93 BDay...He died at age 54 but loved Christmas time and we always got the chores done early on the farm, and special to have daddy read the Bible Christmas story even though he didn't go to church with us until my senior year of highschool, Mama always kept Christ in the center of our Christmas And they marked one gift each year from Santa, but we always knew they were our Santa.
