Kale again...

Tuesday, December 11, 2012

Here's what i did last night and it was my bedtime snack along with a iece of stick cheese.

On a baking sheet or jelly roll pan Heated at 350 I spritzed with extra virin olive oil then sprinkled with garlic powder. (i never use the garlic salt) and laid evenly the kale leaves i had peeled from the stem at 10 minutes i stirred with a spoon and cooked 10 minutes more.

It was a much better and tastier consistancy than steamed Kale. Ha! It was like eating crunchy dried autumn leaves. But it went down really good no poblem at all with the digestion.

Would i have this again? You bet I would. I stored it in a "lock and lock" bowl. I can crmble it over foods, too.

I'm all for trying new vegetables.

Way to go, I did the microwave kind and did not season it. I liked it but DH did not. Now that it is baking time again and roasting time again I will do it your way,

Yummy! Try the swiss chard too. It's delicious with a little seasoning.

I wish I were more like you. I do better with summer veggies. Winter veggies I have to work at to eat them.

I enjoy kale in all forms and tend to eat it before I get around to trying this baking idea. It sounds great though!
