Day 57- I came, I saw....

Monday, December 10, 2012

Woke up to a Manic Monday, and the day far exceeded the definition of a Manic Monday, JUST SAYIN!! I don't know what it has been, but it seems like I have been goin non-stop since I got out of bed ya'll!

First of all, the day started out in a bad way... at about 4 this morning, something went crashing down in our bedroom and I shot straight up in my bed! However, I take 2 sleeping medications, so I was only up for a second before i laid back down to inspect the noise later. The problem is that I never really went back to sleep, until about 6 and my alarm went off at 630. NOT COOL emoticon ! So, I got up and got myself moving, and headed downstairs. I don't know what possessed me to, but I proceeded to cook a hot breakfast for the whole family. Sausage links and scrambled eggs for the kids, Veggie scrambled eggs for me and the wifey. emoticon Checked a few emails, did a little posting on here, and before I knew it, it was time to get the kids off to school.

This is where things got fun, Today, was the first day of the week.... gym day!! emoticon Ya'll, the poor gym didn't have a chance. I was a man on a mission, I was super energetic and I was determined to whoop some butt including my own! Let me tell you, the gym never saw it coming and when I drove by it an hour or so after we had left, it was still gasping for air. Workout started like it always does, 26 minutes on the elliptical. I was determined to beat my mileage from Friday, my legs did not want to agree (see what happens when you take a day off) I kept pushing though, at one point i had that sucker up to 12.5 miles per hour for 15 seconds OWIE!! emoticon The rest of the time I was averaging 5.5-6.0 mph. When it was over, Friday was beaten with 2.17 miles!! I was sweating more than I ever have, but DADGUM IT, IT WAS WORTH IT!! emoticon Then it was off to do some strength training. All my usual suspects and then I added a couple newbies, that's 4 or 5 this month. I decided to try the lying upside down squat machine and did 15 reps, and I also tried the ab crunching machine.... only 5 reps and I think I will leave that one alone for a while longer. Then it was time to hit the recumbent bike. Tami was struggling big time, and could've called it a day right then. I didn't stop to think but I should've dialed in to what that meant. She said she could do it, so to the bike it was. She pushed through it, in absolute misery and to the point of tears (I felt like an absolute heel at this point) She did her best ever on the bike though, just over 6 miles. As for me, I did 6.28 miles on the bike, a new record for me for a total of 8.45 miles today! emoticon

We came home, on the way home Tami couldn't keep herself from crying, I still hadn't dialed in on what was going on. We had our snack, and then upstairs to shower. Then it was off again for me, to the cleaners to drop off my suit, then to Safeway to get a couple things and then back home. We had lunch and then I was off again to run something to the school for my daughter (flu vaccinations tomorrow and she doesn't want to, but tough patootie!!) I get back and finally sit for a few minutes. Tami says she needs to go lay down to get her up in an hour. emoticon Yep, I finally dialed in, all the signs are there.... She is coming down with something and will be sick by morning. So, I go into hyper got get everything done around the house because Tami is getting sick mode. I cleaned up all the dishes, i straightened things up, I started prepping myself for what I always do when she gets sick.... I go a little nuts to make sure she doesn't have to life a finger for a few days. I went to get her up at 3, she was looking like the beginning was here, so I left her alone. Got the kids home from school and checked on her again at 345... she managed to drag herself out of bed but barely. Meanwhile, I am still in supersonic mode. Emptying the dishwasher, cooking dinner, getting the family fed. She is looking worse, I know her body so well even better then her most of the time.... I even tell her when she is going to have TOM visit and am right 99% of the time.... I have to prepare for whatever is coming tomorrow.

Dinner is over, I am sitting here blogging, when I am done I will get up and run like a headless chicken again until bedtime... I can't help it, it's what I do. Tomorrow is 12 miles on my feet working at my daughters school, so there can't be anything left for Tami to do around the house. If she is as bad as I expect in the morning, I will force her to stay home instead of going to her moms. That's my story for today, HAVE A GREAT NIGHT!!!

I think Tami should consider cloning you and selling the clones.....big money for men who are caring during TOM or emotional spills. ps you will let me know when they are on the ready for sale won't you?

What a wonderful husband you are. I hope Tami isn't going to be too sick and that whatever bug she has picked up will pass quickly.
