I really hate water

Monday, December 10, 2012

Water is so essential to good nutrition and health. I hate the stuff. I know I have to drink it, so... first thing in the morning when I get up I try to down as much of the stuff as possible. I have a container that I fill up each day and when it is empty I know I met my daily requirement. If I eat something that is not planned I also drink an extra cup to help flush it out of my system. I hope this gets easier over time.

It helps to squeeze a slice of lemon or lime into it.

I don't really 'taste' water, but I like the cool sensation (ice water) in my mouth. Maybe you like ice water, or cold water, or warm or hot water better?

At first I used to add a wedge of lemon, but now I don't bother with that anymore.

I also used to drink unsweetened iced tea for my 'water' requirement. There are some that say this is incorrect, but if it works for you then it is still better than not getting hydrated.

I find that the hydration/water is a key to my weight loss. By keeping hydrated, it means I don't have to retain water, and I flush all the extra crud (fat?) out of my body.

And then I get an exercise boost by walking to the bathroom every hour too :)

It will, I have been drinking 8-10 glasses of water for about 33 years now & I can't go a day without it. Pretty soon your body will crave it. It is so good for you & good for your skin. Keep up the good work. Maybe try adding some flavoring, I don't but a lot of people that don't like water find it easier to drink. emoticon

Most city tap water tastes like swill. I feel your pain.
