PUSH THAT TUSH -- Yikes

I GOT ON THE SCALE THIS MORNING....NEED I SAY MORE emoticon

I undid all the good the challenge gave me, in just a few days.
I'm hoping it's mainly water weight...
because I didn't eat thousands of calories above and beyond my limit...
but 6 pounds is a lot.
For me 3500 doesn't equal 1 pound.
ANYTHING which spikes my insulin levels plays havoc with my metabolism.
It sets my body into storage mode...period.

Back to low carb.

-----

On another Note
I'm a big fan of Steig Larssen's THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATOO.
I read the entire series and could not put the books down.
I watch the second and third part of the TRILOGY yesterday
(the Swedish version with Noomi Repace) and thoroughly enjoyed it.
But there is nothing like READING to get you totally drawn into a good story.

Need to put my videos on....Coach Nicole is waiting for me

Agreed - even good movie versions still don't compare to the books!

We all have those moments... mine was last week's cruise. Keep on keepin' on, and you know the results will show. and a side trip to the sugar bowl will eventually turn intself around.

And yes, a book is ALWAYS better than the movie!

I also, loved this series of books. I also watched the the first on video but was very tired then. So I need to watch again after I'm well rested so I can enjoy it.

I never use sugar but I bought a new kind of Kashi cold cereal and it so terribly awful that I have had to add a teaspoon of sugar to each bowl just to be able to get it down.

I have not used sugar on cereal since I was girl growing up.

I think, maybe it would just be best to throw the box away. There's $$ down the garbage can!! LOL

Keep on pushing that tush emoticon

Girl that pic is what I look like lately when I have to weigh in. the scales seem to know no bounds lately and they only know how to move up.. Oh the tears I've cried...now to get to work.

I want to know how you hid in my bathroom to snap that picture of me while I was on the scale!!!! You must have used a really strong filter on the camera to filter out all of my wrinkles, though.

I, too, loved Larssen's trilogy. Such a tragedy that he is gone.

HI!I saw the American version of Girl with Dragon Tattoo and have been trying to wait for the Swedish verison from the library. I really enjoyed Noomi Rapace in the second Sherlock Holmes movie..

Plan to read the books at some point, probably summer.

My tummy had a party yesterday for the birthday-eggs benedict for breakfast and Boston Market for dinner..Today it was back to very little carbs..good to be back on track. I will avoid the scale for a few days..it will dim the glow of a really fun weekend!

Stay the course, shake it mama, and then LIFT it!! emoticon mm emoticon emoticon

Wonderful picture. It's always disappointing to see the scale go up, but you're right, you very likely did not gain 6 lbs. of weight. Keep on pushing that tush!

Luv the pic - it says it all doesn't it! So much more effects what we weigh from day to day than just caloric intake. Hang in there and don't give up!!!

Me, too, Sheryl, but mine is not water weight, I'm sure! If I am totally honest with myself, I've made too make crappy choices and been waaay too generous with myself. The "proof" is in my tracking (or lack of)! Good luck to you! Jeannie

I agree about reading a good book! I also read the trilogy and found it VERY difficult to quit and go to other tasks.
I think that was me looking in the mirror with you. Scary thought is that the holiday get togethers are just getting started....Hope our mirror images will look happier soon.

  Hi Sheryl.........
I only thought that we were Twin Sisters of Different Mothers, but NOW I know that we are. I, too, got on the scale this morning and almost passed out!!! I am so ashamed, but know what I have to do and started doing it this morning!!!!! Please don't feel alone. The good thing is that we have Spark and each other and just need to get back to what works. emoticon

I, too, love Steig Larssen and read the trilogy. I did not know that the second and third books were made into movies in Sweden. I am surprised that they haven't been done here. It was so sad to reach the end of the last book, knowing there wouldn't be any more from this talented man.

Have a great week.
