Today, I begin again.
I've been slacking off on exercise, and I haven't been totally diligent about keeping track of what I eat each day. I've also not been very diligent about keeping crap out of my diet, either.
But today, I walked to the office from the van. I walked 1.68 miles in 30 minutes. (RunKeeper, by the way, is an awesome app.) I felt almost every step, too, because I haven't been consistent.
I also fell off the 5K training when I caught that cold and couldn't get rid of the constant nasal congestion. It also didn't help that I forgot to get my fluticasone nasal spray prescription refilled on time and was suffering from allergies as well.
But now, I've realigned my ducks. My schedule will now include at least 30 minutes a day of walking and/or running. The Kinect is going to get some use. The DVD player is going to get some use, too. I've also set up a schedule for getting up from my desk and walking way down the hall (it's a long hall [haul...::snicker::]), past the bathroom, and then stopping at the bathroom on my way back. It takes about 8 minutes total, and I'm doing this every hour.
Also, I'm gonna blog/journal/get my words on paper or "paper" so I can be accountable and be able to look back at this journey to see what I'm doing right and what I can fine tune.
