Since my heart-to-heart with my scale and using my 'new' tracking system, the scale is moving downward again in noticeable increments!!
Looking back in my log, I think one of the biggest helps was that I started eating ~1/3 cup refried beans with some reduced fat cheese and salsa for breakfast. I also have been eating much more broth based soups- after a few cans Campbells chicken noodle (doggies got the noodles!
) I made a big pot of chicken tortilla vegetable soup. I eat a bit of the shredded chicken thigh meat, but mostly the beans and carrots and broth with 1 TBSP parmesian cheese. It's hot and filling and low cal and has protein.
I also traded my fat-free half & half I used in my tea for skim milk and am eating more ff cottage cheese. My new best friends are reduced fat cheese sticks.
Making protein drinks with water instead of skim milk.
Hitting my protein goals with fewer calories. Also drinking 60+ oz of water & non calorie herb teas & sf apple cider. Hot drinks are my 'thing' these days! I sip the hot herbal teas in the afternoon and the hot apple cider in the evening and it keeps the munchies away
I'm also walking and moving around more. The doggies are happier and my house is cleaner these days
I guess steam cleaning the floors and vaccuming the rugs really do burn calories
I'm just putting one foot in front of the other each day~~~~
