This message is directed at the wonderful Lime team.
I feel that people look at me and question why I have chosen to do a biggest loser challenge. I am 137lb which for many people is more then they could ever ask for. I am also 21, well below the average age of these challenges.
However, I am short; somewhere between 5'2 and 5'3. If you put my this into a BMI calculator I am hovering on the edge of the 'overweight' category. My ideal weight should be between 110 and 135.
Also, I do poorly without accountability. If you look at previous posts I have struggled with binging. I don't do this any more (thanks to stopping counting calories and restricting 'unhealthy food') however, I still will over eat if I don't have the accountability to stay on track.
Same goes for exercise, it is so easy for me to skip a couple of days then loose faith in myself in ever working out again. It is a slippery slope.
Like everyone else it is so easy to lose sight of things and 'wake up one day' to realizing you are 10lb heavier then you were a few months ago.
I have done a BLC challenge in the past and was successful. By tracking my exercise and doing the weekly challenges I can focus on the short term goals. I am able to force myself to do a few minutes of exercise each day just so I could put a few minutes a day into the weekly counts.
I hope this explains my choice. I am so excited to get things going!
