One project DONE...the leopard chairs are ready to find a new home at the gallery!

Sunday, December 09, 2012

emoticon I'm pretty pleased with me~self as I write this...FINALLY the leopard chairs have their spots! They will be going to our consignment gallery to find a new home!

I came across these much by accident and in their humble raw beginnings they don't look like much. But they are extremely well made..I'm picky about stuff like that...and they have a good comfort level...so...of course...my brain started humming...hummmmm can you smell the smoke? emoticon emoticon

I thought...how cute these little sweeties would be all decked out in leopard spots...where can you EVEA find a LEOPARD adirondack chair...where? At Found Objekt~A Consign & Design Gallery...that's where! emoticon emoticon

Here it is with it's first coat of beige paint courtesy of the hubs and a fast acting can of waterproof spray paint...quick, and easy!

Here's the spots process..notice on the arm of the chair is the first application of the tan spots then on the back of the chair is the next step which is enhancing the spots with black outline. Now THIS spot application takes the patience of Job...which most of you who know me...know that I own in SHORT supply....so what to do...what to do???...I made the leopard spot process an accent feature...instead of an overall statement...otherwise WHO knows when the chairs might show up in the gallery...could take YEARS!
emoticon AND...I'm very happy with the way they turned out.

Almost final state....just need the waterproof satin sealer and they will be DONE yip! emoticon

Here's an 'up close' of the spots...not bad for a leopard spot novice eh?

And...ta da...final shot all finished out on our back patio...wowsa..they look pretty doggone good there...but nope...off to the gallery they must go! emoticon

After these sell I might venture into 'zebra' what do you think? emoticon Yep the wheels are ALWAYS turning.

Now...I have to pull together the materials and the menu for our Annual Girls Christmas Craft Party zooming right up on me 12.12.12 at 6 p.m. AND then...get my act together and get packed for NYC! emoticon emoticon I just CAN'T wait for that trip. We are going to see two Broadway shows...Momma Mia and War Horse and Snowflake Lily's twin brother is going to show my girlfriend and I around the Metropolitan Opera on a backstage tour...can YOU believe the luck? emoticon I'm SO blessed to have my spark friends...SO very blessed.

Now to dig out a few Christmas decorations AND get to my NEXT big project...my shell mirror...another exclusive that will be going to the gallery. It's never dull in Bobbi~ville!

Loving my fitbit...in fact I decided to gift one to our dear friends Richard and Debbie that we will be staying with when we go back to Iowa for Don's mothers 86th Christmas Day birthday...they are big into health and gadgets...so this is the perfect gift for them. Even threw in the Aria scale to go with...I love my new scale...ekksss except the 'body fat' feature..that is a SCARY SCARY statistic I'd just as soon NOT know! But it helps keep me motivated on the exercise front...INDEED it does!

Happy Sunday my sparklers...stay happy, stay healthy and MOST of all...stay creative! emoticon emoticon

So cute!! My scale measures body fat also, as well as I have a handheld one. I do NOT like taking mine because that number is so high. Ugh!

I LOVE the chairs! I think that if you had done the whole chair it would have been too much. I think accenting the chairs were perfect! I can't wait to hear how your trip goes and of course see the pics you take! My mom is suppose to send us some money for Christmas and I think I'll get me a Fitbit.

I didn't get as much exercise in this week like I had wanted but I did more than last week. I just wish this darn leg would hurry up and heal so that I won't have anymore pain. I get tired of the pain everyday.

I'm doing minimal Christmas decorations this year. Not really in the mood to decorate. I'm not putting up a tree this year either. Our Christmas' always revolved around our puppy dogs and it's just not the same without them. They SOOO loved Christmas time. I just have to keep putting one foot in front of the other and try not to miss my beloved fur-kids too much.

Hope your newly decorated chairs go quickly and that you have a wonderful week!

emoticon emoticon emoticon to you my lovely virtual momma bear! emoticon

Hello my sweet Friend, Bobbi. So sorry I have been out of touch. Trying my best to get through all of this "stuff" we brought to our house from Dad's and also helping my brother with the estate. Seems like there is just never enough time in the day to get all done that I want to get done.

Love the chairs and just know I'd love the shell mirror. I saw the cutest Christmas tree the other day. It was various size Star Shells stacked and glued together for a Christmas Tree. OMGoodness, it was so darn cute. I thought of you when I saw it.

Take care! What a treasure I found yesterday while unpacking the "family tree" ornaments to see your picture with the Josh Man. Thanks for sharing your sweet Josh with me.

Love you!
Sunny

Love the chairs Bobbi! I think the Zebra would be a great print also. I love animal prints. Your NYC trip sounds wonderful. Pack some warm clothes. You will need a warm coat and a few fab. scarfs. Don;t forget your sunglasses though. I have been thinking about a fit bit or a body media device. Have to research them both. But then whom am I kidding. I'm broke. But I may get some gift cards for Xmass. Have fun at your craft party!
