I'm pretty pleased with me~self as I write this...FINALLY the leopard chairs have their spots! They will be going to our consignment gallery to find a new home!
I came across these much by accident and in their humble raw beginnings they don't look like much. But they are extremely well made..I'm picky about stuff like that...and they have a good comfort level...so...of course...my brain started humming...hummmmm can you smell the smoke?
I thought...how cute these little sweeties would be all decked out in leopard spots...where can you EVEA find a LEOPARD adirondack chair...where? At Found Objekt~A Consign & Design Gallery...that's where!
Here it is with it's first coat of beige paint courtesy of the hubs and a fast acting can of waterproof spray paint...quick, and easy!
Here's the spots process..notice on the arm of the chair is the first application of the tan spots then on the back of the chair is the next step which is enhancing the spots with black outline. Now THIS spot application takes the patience of Job...which most of you who know me...know that I own in SHORT supply....so what to do...what to do???...I made the leopard spot process an accent feature...instead of an overall statement...otherwise WHO knows when the chairs might show up in the gallery...could take YEARS!
AND...I'm very happy with the way they turned out.
Almost final state....just need the waterproof satin sealer and they will be DONE yip!
Here's an 'up close' of the spots...not bad for a leopard spot novice eh?
And...ta da...final shot all finished out on our back patio...wowsa..they look pretty doggone good there...but nope...off to the gallery they must go!
After these sell I might venture into 'zebra' what do you think?
Yep the wheels are ALWAYS turning.
Now...I have to pull together the materials and the menu for our Annual Girls Christmas Craft Party zooming right up on me 12.12.12 at 6 p.m. AND then...get my act together and get packed for NYC!
I just CAN'T wait for that trip. We are going to see two Broadway shows...Momma Mia and War Horse and Snowflake Lily's twin brother is going to show my girlfriend and I around the Metropolitan Opera on a backstage tour...can YOU believe the luck?
I'm SO blessed to have my spark friends...SO very blessed.
Now to dig out a few Christmas decorations AND get to my NEXT big project...my shell mirror...another exclusive that will be going to the gallery. It's never dull in Bobbi~ville!
Loving my fitbit...in fact I decided to gift one to our dear friends Richard and Debbie that we will be staying with when we go back to Iowa for Don's mothers 86th Christmas Day birthday...they are big into health and gadgets...so this is the perfect gift for them. Even threw in the Aria scale to go with...I love my new scale...ekksss except the 'body fat' feature..that is a SCARY SCARY statistic I'd just as soon NOT know! But it helps keep me motivated on the exercise front...INDEED it does!
Happy Sunday my sparklers...stay happy, stay healthy and MOST of all...stay creative!
