50 lbs down but I'm scared!

I have never lost this much weight before and I'm scared! Scared that I will gain it back! I've lost 10, 15, 20 lbs before and gained it back plus some! SMH!

Granted I have been sick the last 2 weeks but to finally reach 50 lbs! I'm happy but cautious and scared. I will be watching everything I put in my mouth this week. Since I am feeling better, I can get my butt back in gear with my 2000+ calorie burn goals too. I'm going to start out slowly as I regain my strength. Probably do chair exercises today as well as walk the dog. Then add on a little more tomorrow.

I've got to do this! Got to stay focused! I talk to myself all the time too!

Sometimes you have to encourage yourself. Anyway, pray for me that I don't slip this week.

    Great job that is a true goal 50. I to will be where you are at some point. Don't be scared everyone is here to cheer you along and stand beside of you.
    Just keep doing what you are doing, it's working.
    My strongest advice would be to remain active on the site. Being able to see other's success will make you stay aware of your success.

    Hi friend!! Wow 50 pounds...that is so great! Sorry to hear you are sick...that's never fun, I hope you get better soon. I have to say that it is not a bad thing that you are paying close attention to the things that go into your mouth...in this stage of the journey I think it is prudent and quite necessary. The way I see it is that nobody loses weight just living life...you either stay the same OR GAIN...but to lose weight it requires sacrifice and adjustments. I also don't think it's a bad thing to have a little fear....not a crazy paranoid kinda fear but a healthy fear that keeps you on your toes so that you are constantly aware th at you don't want to go back to the place you were before. I have that fear...and I'll keep it as long as it keeps me checking myself!! Feel better soon!! :) Clarissa

    You may want to check out the maintenance team "at goal and maintaining + transition to maintenance" and see all the success stories, that may help with the fear, many Sparkers have successfully lost and kept off the weight for short and long periods of time. This would allow you to still stay on track to your goal, and start to see what you want to do once you get there.

    Congratulations on losing 50 pounds !

    Here's something I've learned from my own years of yo yo dieting, "don't be afraid to embrace success!" We're so used to regaining the weight, that failure has become something of a comfort zone to us. We know what's it's like to fail. We've done it thousands of times. Succeeding ? That's a whole new ballgame. kinda scary too. What do we do when we succeed ?

    Enjoy it !!

    You've made fantastic progress. Don't be afraid to embrace your success. Go out and treat yourself to some new clothes that flatter your new figure. Look forward, don't look back.

    Congrats on a huge weight loss! You've developed lifestyle changes in food, exercise, whatever that enables you to lose that much. You've done the yo-yo thing before so I'm sure you've looked at the pitfalls from before as well. You've learned from past experiences and know how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Just keep doing what you did to get to this point. Glad you're feeling better and I like your burn goal. I had what was going around a month ago and I had to ease back into it as well. You'll get it back!
