It's been a pretty good, productive week. This was the last week of classes for the semester which is always a little stressful but I'm getting much better at recognizing and dealing with stress appropriately. I got in some good work outs and lots of walking. I have not done any running because of a twinge in my knee but I think I should be back to running next week. I survived my trip to the big city (St. Louis) to purchase food for my Microbe Lunch (see my previous blog to learn more about that). Since I get my supplies at stores like Whole Foods and several international markets I often end up making additional "personal" food purchases as well - like those awesome dark German breads I miss so much. However, this semester I pretty much behaved myself. I bought one fresh Dresdner Butter Stollen which is awesome (as long as I only eat one serving at a time) but that is pretty much it. Now I just need to finish writing my final exams and start preparing to get some lab work done. Have a fantastic week!

    Karen. Stollen is a type of fruit bread - sorta like raisin bread with different types of fruit and nuts. I wish I did more all natural shopping but in our small town the options are pretty limited.

    Is that - Poppy Seed Bread - I too shop all natural, good for you that you managed to get your workouts in , tuff to do when you are studying ! But a good release from the pressure - I am a geek on studying nutrients - as now I have earned a Medical Degree - looking to take my level of study to more Eastern and Natural Healing . Good luck on your Exams - if I can do it - so can you -- Pulling for You ! Completely understand the knees - I switch from cycling to speed walking to swimming have to - as I broke both legs and ankles in 2010 - I have managed to avoid a meniscus tear but I still feel the twinge in my right knee after jogging - certain legs lifts and squats eliminate that pain , I am sure you are already aware of those exercises! Karen
