We are getting into the holiday spirit and got our tree up tonight!

I am content with my life now. Yes I wish I was slimmer and healthier, but I focused on making my house a home, settling in here, making friends, being more patient with others and being happy with what I have.
Of course I do keep looking for new ways to lose weight, and Konjac Shirataki Strips are my latest discovery. Tonight I had a single serving of beef tortellini with cream tomato sauce (fewer calories than Alfredo), a serving of Konjac, and sauted - mushrooms, onions, zuchinni. Dessert - fruit. The 120 gram package of Konjac Shirataki Strips is 12 calories! Konjac has almost no calories so it is often used as a diet food. It is easy to find in the Oriental section of the grocery store.

Ingredients for dinner.
I splurged and bought a precut fruit platter from Costco - water melon, honey dew, cantalope, pineapple and grapes. I want to have this on the table with every meal. This is the time of year it is so easy to nibble on chocolates, candies and baked treats. I want this to be the December I have no weight gain, so I am including healthy treats like fruit.
Today I mapped my walk around the block which is .75K, then walked Kali to time it. I maintain a consistent pace of 5K an hour.
