Staying up late cause I napped too long!

Sunday, December 09, 2012

Hi everyone! It's been a fun day, but not very active (that will SO change tomorrow!)

Today was my cousins 1-year birthday party. It was alot of fun; but there way WAY too much junk food, and as I broke my own rule about skipping breakfast, I of course, overdid it. Not too thrilled with that. I know better.

However - I do want to give myself the credit and point out that "overdoing it" NOW is NOWHERE NEAR what it would have been before I started this! My "breakfast" (2 hotdogs, chips and baked beans) was much better than it would have been not that long ago. The chips and beans were both reasonable portions, even if the 2 hotdogs really weren't. I had 1.5 cans of soda, (as opposed to my previous norm of about 4 or 5!) and 2 big full cups of water. (Yea me! Water wouldn't have even been an OPTION not that long ago!)

I split a piece of birthday cake and ice cream with hubby (passed on most of the icing - too sugary!)

We got home from the party around 4, in time to feed the Bogie (our kitty) and give him his insulin. I was exhausted, and hubby wasn't feeling good, so we crawled off to bed and crashed till about 9! Didn't mean to nap THAT long! Must have needed it!

But we got up, I had a sensible supper - spinach salad, leftover bbq turkey and some mac & cheese. Also sensible portions. After I tracked, I was a bit low on protein & carbs (shocking after the junk!) so I had some blueberries and frozen soy yogurt.

Calories in range, the only thing I'm over on is fat (hotdogs have a LOT of fat!) but everything else looks good, including water.

I've gotten some yoga in, so that's good. Not as much progress there as I'd have liked, but that's okay. I've been much more consistent with my fitness each day so that makes me happy. One day of 15 minutes isn't bad. Chris and I have declared tomorrow cleaning day, and I'm planning on vacuuming, so I'll crank some tunes and dance while I clean tomorrow. emoticon

For those of you who've asked, and maybe don't talk to me so much, baby's doing well. I had another ultrasound on Friday (This made #4, since I'm high risk cause of being obese & epileptic) and baby is looking great. He's definately a boy, and does he have a personality! LOL he waved at us in the last ultrasound, and in this one he stuck out his tongue at us! I'm 21 weeks, now, and he's weighing in at 1 lb 1 oz so far. It was amazing to see how much he'd grown from his last ultrasound when I was 17 weeks. emoticon My baby, 21 weeks. The 2 dark spots are his eyes - it's a Nathan looking at us! :)

I've been doing fairly well on my water challenge. Not perfect, but better, which was what I was working for. emoticon Consistency is my aim this month especially!

Ok, I think that's about it for the night. Have a great one everyone!

Everytime I get down on myself for overeating or not working out enough, I realize how much better even my "bad" days are now that I'm being more mindful. Congrats on the water and on making the best-worst choices you could. :)

I hate it when that happens. I find that I'm in trouble of not sleeping at night if I take more than a 'power' nap of 5 - 10 minutes. It's a luxury.

The baby pic is so awesome.
