I never imagined I would find something like this at our building's little craft sale:
A shawl and touque, for the incredibly low price of $27. In fact, the dear sweet little old lady wanted me to have it for free in exchange for advertising it for her. This product will advertise itself and there was no way I would take it for nothing because I respect people who can create beautiful things with their hands. Something unique and not mass manufactured in a store is something to be treasured and not given away cheaply.
I love my fleece, but have always hated the sleeves getting into things. Now I can keep warm and have my hands free. This is absolutely perfect for the bridge club where certain areas of the room tend to be cold. No more brushing the cards out of my holder with my cuffs. This is great!! Looks wonderful on me too. I am just betting it will cause a stir among the ladies at the club and sweet Helen will get some orders :)
I don't know if you can see it in the photo clearly, but there are two fairly deep pockets, perfect for carrying bridge essentials :)
Well, I woke up this morning (on Saturday) in a very bad way, no sleep, lots of pain and stomach pain too. I wasted my morning laying around, and as a result did not get to my exercise until 11 am. I could only manage 60 min on the elliptical and for the first time ever, it did not loosen me up and make me feel better. I had my breakfast I did not feel like eating. The stomach pain disappeared and nothing came of it, had normal bathroom visits. Weird. I finished up some last minute club stuff. Sparked off and on through the day. Saw the laundry room was finally free and rushed three loads in. Had a late lunch and an even later dinner. So another late night. Tomorrow is the Annual General Meeting at the bridge club where I must speak in front of a crowd and take questions and be able to give answers. After five years of being the manager, I have gotten used to public speaking. It used to be my number one fear. Its still one of the most unpleasant facets of my job that I never look forward to. Only one thing is worse and that is a pap smear. Just barely :P
I sent a couple of my good pants to the seamstress to hem up and of course forgot to pick them up Saturday, not sure if they are open on Sunday, but it might not be in time for my meeting :(
Hopefully tomorrow I can give my exercise the attention it deserves. I need to stay on the strength training and two of my favorite kickboxing videos use weights :)
I hope you all have a Super Sunday!
