Day 12: December 8,2012
Today was good. I went with the food is fuel philosophy and did quite well. I woke up late and so had a late breakfast and a late lunch and then my parents came to stay the night on their way thru to Florida. I had a good talk with my mom about the diet and how I am working it. She was like: No fruit? No dairy? No grains? You eating veggies? I said yes, yes, and some. Luckily she is very supportive of me and once asking if I had checked with my doctor, because I have a heart issue and was amazed that I had lost 8 lbs the first week. Both she and my dad have been concerned about my weight and health since I "became" fat after my 2nd heart surgery when I was in puberty. She was relieved that my cardiologist is the one who suggested it to me.
Then I made the Sunny Citrus Jicama Salad that was suggested to me on this forum (Very yummy!) along with grilled chicken and grilled zucchini.. Delish! I made some rice for the rest of them, but I didn't want it or need it.
I love seeing my parents! And this month I got to twice because they came for Thanksgiving and saw me having my last hurrah before "The Diet." I am very fortunate to still have both of my loving parents in my life!
