Wk 87 Weigh In

Saturday, December 08, 2012

This was not a good week for me. I did get to the gym, but only 3 times for an hour each time. This week was all about food, too much of it. I felt pretty 'blah' all week and I seemed to snack just about every day. Looking back at my intake, I was over my calorie range for all but 2 days! It was never on purpose, usually it would be that I'd eat a little more than usual during the day, thinking that I'd cut back on dinner (or skip it altogether if I was busy). But each day I ended up eating dinner and not the good diet-y kind of dinner either. Oh well, it's just another week that I can't get back and do over. sigh.

Here's the results:

Weight : 217.0
Gain : 1.4
Total : 100.2

Managed to keep the total over 100 lbs, but I better do better this week if I want to keep it there.

I was hoping to be out on a date tonight, but I think I'm being blown off (story of my life!) so instead I may go drinking (I only have alcohol 1-2 times a year and haven't had any this year at all).

I hope you all have had a better week than I did!

Sorry to hear about your week. But focus on all the great things you've accomplished! Also...the girl who stood you up...her loss. The right one is out there somewhere.

Brother trust me we all have weeks like you have had. I know you will dust yourself off and come back from it. the holidays are a really tough time. I know you have had a tough year this year so I definitely understand the snacking and extra eating I have had the same problem. i know we can both beat it! Stay up beat and like you said you are still over 100 Pounds down!

Thanks for writing the blog; a sucky week can be hard to write about, but you did it. Sounds like things just plain got to you. Sometimes it just happens, but this too shall pass. I agree with what everyone has said, so won't repeat it. Go Ken! emoticon

I can relate to feeling BLAH this week. The scale has been all over the place for me lately too. We can dust ourselves off and start fresh!!!

I hope your date goes well! You appear to be a really great guy on spark. I hate people who are flaky and don't say what they mean!
Keep us posted. :)

Grrr...I feel your frustration! But you know where it went wrong and you know what to do this coming week. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep on going. Maintenance during this time of year - in itself - is an accomplishment.

That's one thing I've found with myself during this journey - I bounce back much quicker from my setbacks (my bad choices). I'm learning to forgive myself rather than throw in the towel after every screw up. I still struggle with it, but boy, that's probably one of the biggest mental/attitude changes that I've made that has helped me find success. I still have a way to go - but I'll get there! And so will you! You're doing amazing and you're such an inspiration! Your honest blogs sharing your journey are so helpful and encouraging and let so many of your fellow sparkers we're not along on this journey and we all experience similar ups and downs.

I'm looking forward to seeing how you turn this into next week's success!

p.s. As for the date...SO MUCH her loss! Hope you enjoyed your night out!

Wow Ken sounds like my week ..last week...drinking just might solve everything ( but it won't and those are bad calories)...for tonight. On the positive side, as far I see it, your maintaining and that might be the hardest thing of all but you seem to be holding your own. On the negative end of things, if you've gotten ditched more than once you may want to take a look at who you're asking out...just a thought.

Sorry about your week and being stood up. Hopefully, next week will be better. You've done such a great job so far and are an awesome role model for the rest of us still working on our weight loss goal.

that 's the great thing about a blog you can get your feelings out and everyone feels for you as they have been there too or are there now.

100 lbs is awesome and there is a new week ahead. yay.

Shame about the date, but hey you are going out anyway, so that'll be away from thinking about weight. Relax, enjoy a night out.

It is the 'silly' season so we all try but fall short at this time of year. It's a long term goal we have set ourselves. It took me a long time to put it on and it's a shorter time to remove it but feels like an eternity on days like this (lost 0.4).

chin up and go do something nice for someone else. emoticon emoticon
