I stepped on the scale again today. I have gained 15 pounds since I moved last January. Even though I have been overweight for years, for the first time it is affecting how I feel. I don't want my weight to limit my activities, and I don't want to become diabetic like my mom. I need to lose 60 pounds. It's time to become more active and pay closer attention to what I eat. Today I am eating as I usually do, because I want to see where I am and how bad things have become. Tomorrow I will start to watch how and what I consume, and I will make some changes. With the holiday season approaching this will probably be more difficult, but if I can make some healthy changes now then I can be optimistic about the future. Time to start!
