We are wintering in the south. We have a "Veggie/fruit man" come into the park every Weds. and we get something from him each trip. Lots of tree ripened fruits, vine ripened tomatoes and even pineapple that he cuts and cores for us. Love to have him come in. When the flea markets get going just after Christmas, there are a lot of fruits and veggies available to us there as well. Do enjoy!!!!

Thanks for pointing out that article and I miss our garden too! Just put large boxes of dried food in the mail to our kids in Alaska!

We have several little Farmers Markets scattered thoughout the county in the spring and summer but we have to go to the big city in the winter to get to shop at one.

I love the farmers markets. We have 1 near our house that is year round, although there's not much variety this time of year as you can imagine. I go every chance I get. You just can't beat the freshness and flavor.

    Thanks Patti!
I miss seeing green and flowers period. Will have to wait until May for that to happen around here. It is -16*C / 3*F without the windchill. NO new snow as of yet, but it is on its way.
Hope you have a great day!
Hugs,
Angela

I miss my garden too...well, that is the parts of it that didn't get scorched with the drought.

PrettyEye it sounds like your farmer's market is much better than the ones around here.

Great post.I have a whole deep freezer full of veggies I bought every week end over the summer. One of our local farmers has a deal where you can fill a bag of assorted veggies for 10 dollars.I actually tried some I never had before like leeks, yellow beans and kohlrabi.
