Slightly proud of myself.

emoticon Remember how I bought Donkey Kong Country Returns when I got my new Wii remote and Zumba Fitness Core? First of all, I need a numchuck to play the game, which I no longer have. And second of all, I already have a couple Wii games that I can just sit and play. What I really need is variety in my home workouts. As much variety as possible.

emoticon So what am I going to do? Return the game and exchange it for a heavier set of hand weights, a stability ball, and possibly a Leslie Sansone DVD.

emoticon Fitness wise I'm going to do two strength videos - an upper body one and a "butt blasting" one - a total of 15 minutes. For cardio, I'm not sure. Something light. Tomorrow I'm going to do my 38 minutes of Zumba Fitness Core which will kick my butt and burn like 370 calories. I can't wait until I'm strong and fit enough to do a medium class (45 minutes) or a long class (an hour).

emoticon TGIF!

You should be so proud of yourself. Any thing that you can do to keep moving and enjoy it at the same time is something that you can keep up for the rest of your life. That is how I judge whether I want to invest any money into something nowadays. If I know I am not going to keep doing it forever, then it isn't worth spending money on it.

Awww, you are making so many healthy choices! I love being able to progress with fitness, like moving up to 45 minutes of zumba. Even when the scale is being stubborn, you've got a great way to clearly see that you are making better and healthier choices.

Also, check out the fitness section and try some of Coach Nicole's online workouts. She has a bunch of short 10-15 minute routines you can do at home too.

And if you're looking for cheap Wii games, try your local Goodwill or Salvation Army. It's hit or miss, but I have found video games there. You can also find workout DVDs for cheap too.

Good for you! You'll find yourself progressing faster than you expect if you stick to it!
