Last night, I signed up for a Half-Marathon! That's 13.1 miles!
What was I thinking???
(Deep, relaxing breath...)
I feel much better now. In all reality, I have approximately 6 months to train (race day - 05/05/13). I will overlook the fact that I just started running this year, because I can. Over the course of this last year, I have gone from a "couch potato" to an actual, honest-to-goodness-runner. Thus far, I have run two 5K races, and run on a treadmill 5-6 days a week for about 45 minutes a session. I have grown to really enjoy running - a fact that I wouldn't have imagined in 2011...
I can do this! 13.1 miles isn't that bad, right?
