Lots to do this weekend!!!

Okay -- I have a ton of stuff going on this weekend.

Luckily my boss finished editing the paper with me and we re-submitted the review article to a journal. Now I can breathe!

I stupidly offered to host a holiday party for our department. This means I needed to CLEEEEEEAN. And for some reason in my crazy brain I decided to clean out my closets; Not throw stuff in so people don't see like I usually do ;-)

So I bought some storage tubs at Target (they're on sale this week!) and got to organizing. I got rid of all of the XL stuff in my wardrobe (WHAT?!?) And some of the 0x stuff from Maurices in my closet. Goodbye most of my size 10Tall jeans from the Gap. I'm only keeping 2 just in case... And my winter coats in size 18/20, 1x, and I think a 2x. They're all in bags ready to donate. Oh and one whole bag of shoes I don't want anymore in size 12 (any other giant feet ladies out there?)

I even cleaned out my linen closet. I may take some old towels to the humane society later next week or keep them as dog towels--who knows.

So basically my house is trashed but my closets look fantastic! Haha... not what I need.

I was hoping to get it all done before tonight since TJ will be back here this weekend. My friend has a party for us to go to, but we may try to catch him up on Doctor Who before the new x-mas special.

Then Saturday I am cooking a turkey. This is the first time I've ever been in charge of one. I'm going to go simple -- oven bag it so it's juicy... but still a little pressure. Plus rolls... plus stuffing... plus mashed potatoes... plus 20-30 people in my house = streeeeeess.

I don't want to go nuts with food this weekend, so I am going to try to make positive choices.

Sunday will be recovering and cleaning. So yep -- that's it. Everyone have a good weekend!

Ah, department parties are a great distraction... anything is better than the thesis! Hahahah! I remember those days. "Thesis schmesis... it's time to organize my recipes!!!" No, I'm not joking.

Have fun, and enjoy your closets!

You definitely have a lot going on this weekend! I've never cooked a turkey myself, but I wish you luck. I also vote for pictures of this spread of yours so we can see how it all turned out!

I love a good deep closet cleaning. I may just go through mine this weekend. Hmm... And can I just tell you-never in my entire life have I met any other female that wears a size 12 shoe!!! I wear a size 12W (usually) or 13 even-depending on the maker. It's so RARE to find actual cute shoes in that size!! I've gotta know-did a drop in shoe size come with your weight loss? Is it possible I may at one point get into a size 11 shoe? Oh man, don't tease me.

Well, I'm off to go run some errands of my own. Have a great party!!! =D

I did that a while back, felt SOOO GOOOOOD when things were done and clean! It's gotten a little cluttered here and there since, but nowhere near where it started out.

Sounds like a busy but fun weekend! You'll get it all done. And remember, no one is as critical of your house as you are. Make sure the bathroom is clean and there are horizontal surfaces for people to sit/set things on cleared off and you're fine.

Have fun! I have a super busy weekend of crafting, I can't waaaaaaaaaaaaait emoticon

Glad you got the paper done. That has to be a great amount of stress gone.

Cleaning closets and getting rid of clothes is a good thing. I also donate my old towels to the humane society. I got to yard sales and buy blankets for my dog kennel.

Enjoy your time with TJ. I LOVE Doctor Who!!

I'm sure you will do fine with the turkey!! Hope you have a great time with your party!!

It's a potluck -- other people are supposed to bring side dishes and desserts -- I'll probably end up microwaving some veggies if I get a chance to breathe
