100 Reasons I Should Work Out Today - Reason # 18 - Because it lifts my mood.
It was dark yesterday. My mood was so down. Felt so overwhelmed. I felt myself spiraling down, darker & darker.
I almost didn't go out to the barn but I forced myself out the door. The barn cats mobbed me, purring & meowing.
Almost didn't ride but I saddled up anyway and after a few canters, I felt my mood lift. Leo was as good as gold. I realized I was smiling & laughing at him. I dropped my stirrups at one point & he halted (Were done right? You get off now?) Oh so good for my DD that he'll do that when she does ride.
There's a saying that goes "a canter is a cure for every evil." It worked last night. I went back home in a better mood & had a good sleep.
