Sickness is in the household. I'm pretty sure the kids have the same crud I had over Thanksgiving. The 17yo has missed 2 days and will miss tomorrow, the 14yo hasn't been in school all week, and today the three younger ones all came down with it. At 10:00 this evening I had 3 kids with temps over 102, 3 coughing, and all 5 (currently at home) laying down/sleeping/resting. The little guy just sat on my lap for hours (he never sits still AT ALL), dozing off and on. I declared it movie night, so we all rested while watching The Tigger Movie and The Muppet Movie.
So today being a mommy trumped working out. I'll be sleeping on the couch tonight, with the little guy on the floor next to me, and up checking on the other kids throughout the night. I did get my 10 minute day 5 bootcamp workout in, but no running to Snap tonight! Today was absolutely beautiful weather-wise, and I wanted so bad to go out for a run, but I was needed at home. I'm hoping that tomorrow the kids temps are a little lower so I can feel confident leaving the big boys in charge while I get the grocery shopping done and stop for a workout.
My biggest hope is that we will all be over this crud well before the college girls come home for Christmas break so we can clean everything and feel like the germs are gone. It would be nice to get through Christmas break without any sickness. I told the girls to get rest this week during finals and take care of themselves to stay healthy!
