I usually just wear sneakers, I have a couple pairs of dress shoes just in case but they don't get much wear. My niece had mentioned she needed a new pair of boots but couldn't quite decided what style or where she was going to get them. She is really good about not buying something just to have it, she has to like something to add it to her wardrobe. That got me thinking, I haven't worn boots in ages (ok, I am old enough that that means more than a good number of years). When I was out running around I stopped at Shoe Carnival and took a peek at what they had. I found a pair of boots I liked that had heels but were about $60.00, too much for me to pay without giving them a ton of thought. I figured if I didn't fall down once I got outside I could wait on the boots. Well, I didn't so I was happy to wait, that was...
... until Payless Shoes sent a mailer out advertising boots on sale and a $10.00 off coupon. I figured I'd go look - not really a good thing for me to do once I have an idea locked in my head. I went to Payless, looked at boots and ended up buying 3 pair. I now have a pair of tan suede cowboy boots, a pair of black flat heel boots and a pair of purple flat heel boots. They are all ankle height, the cowboy boots look cute with my size 12 jeans, the black boots will be worn with my skirt to church on Christmas and the purple boots... well they are my guilty pleasure boots since I LOVE purple.
It's a good thing I don't go shopping very often! I don't think my budget could take much more!
Well, these boots were made for walking... and I've got more steps on my journey (maybe I need another pair of sneakers?)!
