I bought and tried Steaming Kale in a ziplock steaming bag in the microwve. My lap band doesn't like the consistancy of it. Any suggestions on how to make it go down easier?

I ahve liquified Kale in a processor and then freeze it in flexible ice trays then bag it in small bags and add it to smoothie/shakes with protein powder.

Is there anothger way i can get in the nutrition value of this great veggie?

I'll be Kinda MIA as I am starting my IVIG treatments tomorrow thru sunday. Just saying.

I like it a lot but it is chewy. I read on LINDAS page her DD had made a kale soup in the crock pot so I tried it in a soup and it was really very good. I am so happy I tried it that way. I will buy it again. I do like collards now too. DH and I eat Brussels Sprouts with bacon and onion, one of his favorite ways to eat them. That is the only way I really like them, but I do like them that way they taste so completely different.
IVIG tomorrow to Sunday, I know it is a long time but it does seem to be helping a lot and that will set you up for Christmas I hope-
DID you look at the House ??? Pat in Maine.

We put kale in a type of crockpot stew that we found here on sparks. It tasted good and the kale was just another veggie in the mix.

Try chopping it and adding it to your salads. Like spinach leaves which I also have on every Subway Sandwich.

I just don't care for kale (or cooked spinach either).
I have tried kale chips, in a smoothie and in chicken soup.

I wonder if drying it, like in the recipe for the "kale chips" on here would work?

We'll miss you while you "IVIG"!
