Easy Gift Ideas

Thursday, December 06, 2012

I made these cute little jars for the pastors and office staff at church and also for some co-workers and friends. They were super easy and cheap. I bought air-tight jars from the Dollar Tree Dollar Store, then printed off different labels from the Internet. I copied them to Word Perfect and made them the size that I wanted for each jar, cut the labels/pictures out and modge podged them onto the jars (3 total layers). I filled some of the jars with mint candies. I am filling the ones for the pastors and office staff with homemade peppermint Chex mix. Here's some of the ones that I made (I also made a lotion/soap holder and some votive candle holders):

Detroit Red Wings for my father-in-law:

Harley Davidson for my dad:

Our church logo for the Pastors and office staff:

Detroit Tigers for a friend at work:

Music jar for Adam's band teacher (has music notes on the side and back) and an owl for a friend that likes owls:

"Forget the glass slippers, this princess wears running shoes" jar for Adam's teacher (who runs marathons) and a Bible verse for a friend:

MSU jar for one of the boys teachers and a guitar for my aunt who is learning to play:
