I joined the Motivation, Consistency Program on SparkCoach. Each day one of the coaches gives us a daily challenge. Today Becky gave us the hunger scale and challenged us to rate our hunger before mindlessly eating. I want to share that scale with you. I feel it is very good information. According to Becky you should be a 3 or 4 before eating. It is not advisable to get too hungry as that is when you will eat anything and sometimes everything in sight. You want to stop eating before you reach 7. I think that is why it is not a good idea to go to a buffet. After all, we all want our moneys worth, don't we. The person I go to a buffet with sometimes has to unbutton his pants when we get into the car.

Hunger Level Sensations and Symptoms
1 Starving, weak, dizzy
2 Very hungry, cranky, low energy, a lot of stomach growling
3 Pretty hungry, stomach is growling a little
4 Starting to feel a little hungry
5 Satisfied, neither hungry nor full
6 A little full, pleasantly full
7 A little uncomfortable
8 Feeling stuffed
9 Very uncomfortable, stomach hurts
10 So full you feel sick
I can't believe it. In fact until it actually happens, I won't believe it. My Mom called and said Chuck and her are coming over tomorrow. He is going to fix my computer.
