Some Days the Pigeon -- Some Days the Statue

Thursday, December 06, 2012

I heard that expression a long, long time ago. I always interpreted it as some days you "crap" on people (hopefully, not intentionally) and some days you get "crapped" on!

This isn't directly related to my healthy living journey -- or even to my "streaking to Christmas" incentive. I came home for lunch and took my adorable pal, Aldo out for a little walk, and while he was doing his business on a tree, a bird pooped on me.

SO GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're probably thinking ... why is this LOON writing about this. Well, indirectly it can be applied to every day life. Sometimes we just have a crappy day. Maybe it's because we woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Or perhaps it's a cranky co worker or family member striking out us or not appreciate us. Quite possibly we just lost our mojo. It's at times like those we can feel ... "put" upon for various reasons.

Let me assure you ... being *HIT on, err ... being the statue ... really STINKS!!!!

Hopefully we can all have a little chuckle mulling over the image of bird poop hitting me on the head and rolling down my face.

Seriously, I thought was going to HURL!

"Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug. Sometimes it all comes together, baby, sometimes you're just a fool in love."

"Sometimes you're the Louisville Slugger, sometimes you're the ball. Sometimes it all comes together, sometimes you're gonna lose it all."

The Bug, written by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits and nicely done by Mary Chapin Carpenter.

Is it time to stop playing trivia? Nooooo... emoticon

Ughhhh I had that happen to me once when I was 8 or 9. I've never forgotten how nasty it was. I was traumatized. For life!

I'm glad your day got better after that! And, yeah, Aldo is pretty adorable... for a dog emoticon emoticon

Aldo is so cute!!Couldn't stay in a bad mood too long looking at that face!! Glad you didn't post a picture of the bird crap rolling down your face. If that happened to me, I'd have to tell someone. Pretty yukky, but you'll be okay.

Hope your stent as the statue has ended!! -Marsha

SO gross! I have a friend who is hyper-vigilant about that because it never fails: if a bird poops in her vicinity, it poops on her :P

I hope you are rarely the statue!
