Wishing you an early Merry Christmas

This time of year gets so busy that I decided to wish everyone an early Merry Christmas. I want to thank all my Spark friends for their support this year. I appreciate all the comments and motivation and good ideas I have gotten from all of you and your blogs. I don't always find time to personally thank everyone who makes comments as I lead a very busy life and get behind often, but know that I appreciate the time and thought that goes into your comments.
These party ideas are my gift to you. I borrowed them from my niece who runs a Bed & Breakfast. My niece is very good at throwing parties but doesn't have the money to make them expensive. I thought I would share some of her ideas with you. They can be adapted to whatever your occasion may be. Any event can become a party. Most of her parties are potluck so the cost is shared as is the work.
Most of the parties are planned around an event such as the Academy Awards at which time the guests dress in suits and nice dresses; the Olympic Opening Ceremonies for which the guests dress in Jogging gear. Pajama Movie Night, the guests wear comfortable pajamas. Opening Night Party to celebrate the opening night of the local high school play to which they go in a group. I already explained the Eatathon that happens at Thanksgiving, you can check my Thanksgiving Blog if you have forgotten.
Now we are coming to the end of the year. Many people don't like to stay up until midnight to celebrate the new year so the party is celebrating New York New Year and from here in CA that means the party is over at 9pm. Perfect for early risers like my niece who runs a B&B. If you live on the East Coast that may mean you celebrate London's New Year. I hope this gives you some ideas that you can use.
Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year.
