thanks 1Stateof Denial for pushing me to evaluate the "why" I am not always meeting my goals!
I suppose I should have written this yesterday to be truly mid-week!
I am not doing great on the goals I set for myself. I did n't go to water aerobics this morning. I have no excuse! So why didn't I do the thing I really love to do?
answer: I seem to forget the Thur. water aerobics starts at 8:30 am , not 9:15 like the other days of the week! It has been harder for me to get out of bed early . For some reason I am getting to sleep much later than before and mornings are tough now.
So how can I fix this????? I can set my alarm clock AND put a cup of coffee near the clock. Even cold, I will drink it.
That should get me up and going.
This morning my workout bag was already packed! I was just too lazy to push myself and get out the door!
I can still catch a class tonight at 6:15 pm. But.. Thur. morning is better. There are 2 classes in a row and the second is water zumba. I love that.
I sure know how you feel, I wake thinking I don't want to exercise but I end up doing it (but I don't have to go anywhere to exercise, just two steps and I'm on my elliptical) hey if you don't go to your class just do some other exercise so then You have no excuse to exercise
Good evaluation. Question: Is there a reason you don't go to the 2nd water aerobics class, even if you miss the first? If it starts at 8:30, the 2nd class probably starts at about 9:00 or 9:30, which is the same as the 'regular' 9:15 time you're used to.
Is it possible for you to set an alarm to remind you to go to sleep? Also, check out your TV settings: can you set it to go off at a certain time each night? Mine does, and when it turns itself off it's a good reminder that it's time to go to sleep. I have a huge issue with going to sleep at a decent time (I seem to function better when I'm awake all night and sleep all day - I might be a vampire) so I know how hard it is. Also, if you force yourself to get up in the morning the hope is that you're ready to sleep when it's time to go to sleep. If you sleep in because you stayed up late then you'll be awake later and want to sleep in even later the next day. 1300 days ago
I USED TO GO TO BED SAT 3 AM AND GET UP AT 10 AM. IT LITERALLY TOOK ME YEARS TO TURN IT AROUND. NOW I AM UP BY 8 BUT I DO NEED THAT COFFEE TO GET MY HEART STARTED. BUT I CAN'T GO TO BED BEFORE MIDNIGHT OR I AM AWAKE AST 3 AM AND THAT'S IT FOR THE NIGHT. WEIRD THAT. 1300 days ago
