Wow I haven't sat at my computer long enough to write a blog post in several days. Lets see what's been going on around here...
Driving. Lots of driving. Our church is an hour away and we're having our Christmas concert this Saturday and Sunday. That means extra rehearsals this week. So Sunday I drove to church in the morning, drove home (2 hours driving) picked up hubby, took him to the base to go to work, picked up 2 of the kids from their dad's house, then back to church for evening services, AWANA, etc and back home (another 3.5 hours driving), then had to get up at 3am to go pick up hubby from where they're holding PD (45 minutes each way). Wednesday is rehearsal so another round trip to/from church, and back to pick up hubby at 3am again this morning. We will repeat that one again tonight. I really hate only having one vehicle.
On a more active note, I was able to score a Wii U at the BX on Monday. This really is a Christmas present for me, more than anyone else. I have missed being able to use my Wii Fit and Zumba games since my wii died, so I have been looking for a used one or something reasonable but I just couldn't see paying over 100 dollars for a used system, so when the guy told me they just got 2 of the new systems in (literally they were being unloaded from the truck when he went back and checked) I grabbed one before they were gone. Yesterday I hooked up the Fit Board and started using it again. YAY!
My house still looks like a bomb went off. I haven't had the energy or time to do much cleaning at all, and my lovely children are really good at making messes, but cleaning them up not so much. I've got piles of stuff here and there that I've decided to get rid of so they are in the process of being sorted, photographed and listed on Ebay. I was able to get 50+ items listed so far this week so its a good start. I also managed to get the stuff moved out of the way for where the Christmas tree will go. Usually we do that the first weekend in December but we haven't been home long enough to do it all as a family yet. Maybe Monday.
So, today for me is a day of menial tasks, sewing an Army dress blues uniform for someone, and getting dinner made by 330pm so I can start getting ready to head back to church for dress rehearsal tonight. If I'm lucky I will get to sneak in a short nap this afternoon. 3am wake ups are killing me. I have 2 customer orders to work on too if I can find the time to sneak in a bit of sewing.
Another positive note-Went to the doctor on Monday for a checkup since my meds are out of refills. My BP was the lowest it has been in at least 4 years (118/78), my weight was down, my bloodwork was ALL in the normal ranges of everything instead of elevated Cholesterol and being borderline diabetic. Glad to see even if the scale is only creeping that other good things are happening.
I am so ready for this week to be over. It is sort of a crazy week and I'm ready for some down time.
I haven't been eating quite as well as I should have given the hectic schedule. I went over my calories and such by a bit the last couple of days, but by less than 100 so I wasn't all together bad. Just that fast food has sorta been half of my diet for the last couple of days, and I caved and had a bit of Dr Pepper yesterday. The first soda I've had in over 2 months. It didn't taste nearly as good as I thought it would. I didn't finish it either.
Now I'm off to spend some quality time with my wii before starting in on laundry and dinner and finishing school with the kids.
