Must. Get. Off. My. Booty!

Thursday, December 06, 2012

November didn't go out with a bang like I wanted. December didn't come in with a bang either. It's more than just not eating right or not exercising. My duties of being a stay at home mom have seriously been slacking too. Granted the girls are breathing and fed so I haven't been slacking that much. But the dishes are piled up, the laundry is overflowing, you can't walk on the floor without stepping on something. I just feel so drained right now. I know I need to snap out of it before it becomes a problem. I think that I am just in a rut. Every week is nearly identical to the week before. I just feel blah.
Hopefully Saturday will help. My sister wants to keep the girls for a sleepover with my nephew. Shane has to work so he won't be home until 2 am. I had actually thought of cleaning the carpet, washing all the bedding, getting the closets cleaned out and scrubbing the kitchen. When I told Shane this he gave me the strangest look. He told me that I should go and have a fun night out. So maybe I'll catch a movie and bring home Lonestar just so I won't have to cook. Maybe a beer or 2 will be drank. But I still need to clean the carpet because it's really disgusting!

Physical drainage is a side effect of healthy living when you first get started Sarah, don't let it get the best of you. I agree that you will gain more perspective after having a little break..... NOW GET TO IT!! hehehe

Either one sounds like a good plan. Mix and Match what fits best like cleaning the carpet then catching a later show. Enjoy your time, but I agree with Jmarisk, Do what is going to make you feel good about yourself in the end.

Do whatever is going to make you feel good about yourself in the end. Your husband is right. You should take sometime for yourself, but if the dishes are piled high and the carpets need cleaned maybe you'll feel better to get those items marked off your to-do list. Maybe it'll encourage you to mark more off your to-do list, like tracking calories or staying active.

This time of year is so hard to keep on track, but you can do it!

I feel you. I am so drained some days that I wish I could just lie down. And I can't because I have two small children with a whole lot of energy and zero outside help. I just have to say that it will get better. You will start to move, you will sleep better, you will clean your house. It's just a matter of gaining some perspective. You needed a break and you took it. Now it's time to start moving again. Go for it! emoticon
