I have a friend on Facebook. We've actually known one another since we were young (we ''dated'' in 4th grade.) He was smart like me and fun to talk to. We drifted apart after elementary school because he began to get really active in sports and became rather popular, and I didn't talk to him much after that.
Anyway, he's my FB friend now, and we like to have friendly arguments. He lives in Texas and he's a personal trainer and I think working for the Department of Defense. Top notch physical condition. So you know, in terms of our life styles, our politics... he might as well be from Mars. But he's always had something valuable or insightful to say.
So given his knowledge, I sent a PM his way asking what kinds of body weight exercises he would recommend for a gal like me. He asked me a lot of questions about the pain in my knees and back and next thing I know he's sending me a video - that he made for me - demonstrating my ''first assignment.'' The squat assignment he gave me to do was fantastic for my knees! I've only done it twice and my legs feel so much stronger.
Anyway, I think it's an incredibly generous thing he's doing and it sounds like he intends to continue helping me by making more videos and giving me more exercises to do. I just think it's funny, when help comes from the most unexpected places. There are people all over from all walks of life who are good. The world is full of good people.
I've been having fun the last couple of days. Productivity has been happening at work. My body feels a little better since I'm getting some exercise. My pants are a little looser. I've lost 3-5 pounds in the last 2.5 weeks. I got my new glasses. I can finally see again after months with the wrong prescription. And Dom is getting internship interviews by the boatload, in places we actually want to live. The future is looking bright.
Also, traffic was nice and easy today. It's the little things.
