Sticking My Neck out

Thursday, December 06, 2012

All week, I’ve had this horrible “crick” in the right side of my neck. Today, it has moved to the left side! I know its been a stressful week, finals are killing me, but this thing really needs to go away. I haven’t been able to turn my head since like Saturday! Today, I rolled it out with “The Stick” so lets hope that helps. I don’t think all that yoga on Monday and Tuesday did anything good for it either.

I took a complete rest day yesterday because I felt super awful. Yoga hurts my neck and I was sooo sleepy. Check out my sleep graph for Tuesday night. How terrible!

Today’s graph isn’t much better. Don’t they say that eating a Paleo Diet should help you sleep better? I’m starting to think they lied to me. LoL. Maybe after the semester is over, I can get a good night’s sleep again. This being awoken every half hour needs to go. At least give me a solid few hours??

Today has to be a better day for me because I have to get my take home exam done and handed in tomorrow morning. The work doesn’t stop there but just continues through the weekend. The joys of graduate school!

To end, here are my submissions for #RNRBestOf Day 6: Best Course Shot!

Ahh, I hate when I get neck cricks! I usually take Tylenol and sleep on a heating pad; by the next morning, it's a lot better if not healed. Try it!

As for the sleep, I am right there with you! I wake up a lot during the night. I just wish we could get a good night's rest. I recently read an article about this saying that age, gender (females the most), and stress have a lot to do with it. Boo. Anyways, I hope you are able to get some rest soon!

I use a similar sleep program on my iPhone. It has shown me a lot. When I'm really stressed I sleep walk and/or wake up a billion times. It seems like you're experiencing a lot of wake ups too. Here's to hoping it gets better after exams!

Feel better. I don't know what to suggest. I have to ask, what is your sleep tracking? Fitbit? Also, love the pictures.

I hate those neck cricks! Haven't had one in a while, "knock wood" (no - thank God!) but have my own set of aches and pains mostly associated with arthritis.Inside I still feel 20 something, ourside reminds me I'm pushing 60. But I plan to be a healthy 60 and on (even 100!) with Spark's health. I pray your neck unkinks! Shel
