So, 2012 has pretty much been the polar opposite of everything that I have attempted to achieve on my weight loss journey... I've gained back most of the weight that I initially lost, and am essentially starting over.
But, obviously, I know that I can do it, because I've done it once already... so it's time to "revamp, redesign & renew"...
Revamp - I've revamped my entire plan. I have a little over 1 month of Nutrisystem foods left in my cabinet. I am going to use them to get myself used to smaller portions over the next month. I am also gonna get my body acclimated to working out again by hitting the gym at least once a week through December. Then, starting in January, I've signed up for a program similar to the Biggest Loser called "Lifestyle Change". It is through my local gym, and runs for 12 weeks. They accept a max of 15 participants for the program, and it pairs us w/ a personal trainer, and then as a group we work with a dietician as well as a lifestyle coach to help us learn the tools needed to maintain the healthy lifestyle changes. I'm really looking forward to this! I've also bought myself a Fitbit tracker so that I can keep a better tally on my activity, as well as participating in the challenge they have on Sparkpeople.
Redesign - Since I've been on here 4 yrs now, I've gone through my page and redesigned it, streamlining some of my previous posts (recapping them yr by yr) so that the focus can now be on my current efforts & results.
Renew - I have a renewed motivation as my hubby & I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary at the end of next year (we were married on New Year's Eve). We are planning a trip back to the B&B that we were married at, which is up in the Colorado mountains. I'd like to be able to hike and be active on this trip, but I know at my current weight that would never happen. I'm also taking a year off from traveling to Florida to see my son (he'll be coming here a couple of times), and so I'd really like to be in better shape when I do return to Florida the next time.
So my goal is to work as hard as I can over the next year, hoping to reach my goal weight by my 10th anniversary. I'm looking forward to all of my Sparkbuddies support, encouragement and accountability to help me get to that goal... finally!!! I know I can do it, esp. w/ all of you behind me!!!
