Sushi, oh how I love thee....

Wednesday, December 05, 2012

...and oh how that soy sauce (even the lighter sodium variety) makes me gain a little the morning after.

Yes, I had sushi earlier tonight. It was fantastic, and fast service at the restaurant. My husband and I shared 3 rolls, then zipped over to the movie theater to see Life of Pi, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I think the book has been out for 11 years or so...it's probably been 10 years since I read it, but the movie stayed true to the book as far as I can remember. I recommend the 3D version for sure.

And here's the bad, yet good, news. I'm having sushi with my friend John tomorrow. SO BAD! :) Two nights of all that sodium. I might recover in 3 or 4 days. Should I drink more water? Will that help at all?

I could seriously eat sushi EVERY day. I love it. I love everything about it. It's pretty, its presentation on the plate is pretty, it feels good to eat with all those panko crumbs and avocado and cream cheese and tuna. See? I'm already craving it again.

I am having sushi for lunch. Yes drink more water helps flush out system of the sodium.
I could eat sushi everyday it's so good. I always have a salad first. fills me up some, but have the ginger mi-so dressing and thats more sodium. Some days you can't win.
But whats life all about, total deprivation? NO, you have to enjoy and eat in moderation and make healthy choices.
It's making those balanced choices that gets us through the day, week, month.
    take care,
Don't feel guilty. You know how much you can have, just enjoy.

My hubby loves sushi and would be so happy if I did, too. I always order a teriyaki chicken bento box when we go out to our favorite restaurant, so he's limited on how much to order since he's on his own :)

I haven't read Life of Pi~I usually like to read before I see the movie, but I've heard the imagery is fabulous!

Yes, drink more water and enjoy your sushi!

I too could eat it every day. I swear it is actually addictive.
I already have an avocado addiction to begin with.

I LOVE Sushi! We have an all-you-can-eat restaurant near us with a conveyor belt. I absolutely cannot stay within my calorie range there so it must be avoided!
