So... I have discovered that I have a problem with eating when I'm anxious.... Its baaaad!!! whenever I'm overly stressed out or worried the only thing that makes me feel better is food, bad food the fattier the better n sugary.... If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. I was doing good in my eating n exercising n then went through an especially stressful situation n totally lost control. SO here I am trying to start again.... :( emoticon

    First, I agree with everything Don has said.

    Second, make sure that you prepare your home and work environment to align your self with your prayer. You need to clean your space of any temptation, so as to be stronger when those feelings of stress come up.

    I was reading a Watchtower article last night about resisting sexual sins. It said to remove all temptation from ourselves, and then it gave the example of a person who is dieting for health reasons. It would be very painful for that person to be strong with rich, fatty foods set before them. So the same with the sexual sins. We would want to avoid instances where temptation would be. I thought it was so strange that this would apply to me, although I was reading for research on another situation. Jehovah gives us the tools, and the guidance to use them.

    So, go clear your space of any temptation and replace with good wholesome fruit and veggies. Be prepared for the problems that arise. When they do, you will have better choices to fall back on.

    Pray to Jehovah, and you will be able to answer the stress with a positive outcome.

    The first thing many will tell you is throw your burden on Jehovah, which I'm sure you do. However at this service years Special Assembly Day the theme is "Safeguard Your Conscience" (1 Tim. 1:19). We learn from the Bible Laws and principles that guide us to know what is good and what is bad. The laws are are like the red and green lights on a traffic signal, the yellow is the principles behind the law, it means we need to make a decision on whether to follow the law based on the principle. (example) In Deuteronomy 31:12, 13 Jehovah Commanded we meet (a law), at Heb. 10:24, 25, it tells us why we need the meetings (the principle).
    When we act on those, we develop our conscience and Holy Spirit trains it and recalls what is right or wrong, good or bad.
    1 Timothy 1:19 also say some will thrust the conscience away, and the result would be shipwreck!
    So give this a try; Go for a walk when you are feeling stressed, take a big bottle of water, start talking to Jehovah and not only throw the problem you are stressed about on him, also realize that not only is your emotional health involved, the physical is as well. Ask him to help you avoid what is bad for your health.
    Now here is the key, once the conscience is trained to know bad from good you must trust it!
    YOU KNOW, what foods are bad for your health and goal and what to avoid, trust that you will be better off without them. ( It's okay to be moderate occasionally with them)

    Walk
    Talk
    Let go
    Get filled with;
    Holy Spirit
    and
    Water

    By the time your back from your walk you may not even remember you wanted to indulge!
