There are things in life that we just don't want to change. Unfortunately for us, if we want to succeed, we have to.
So why go big? You cant run a mile tomorrow, if you just laced up your running shoes today. It just doesn't happen like that. There needs to be small changes, to see big differences.
What was my big change today you ask? Well... I just happen to determine that I had to have coffee today. This isn't something I get everyday, but the occasional cup is a treat to me. My favorite one: The Madagascar Vanilla Chiller from Gloria Jeans. EXTRA whipped cream. This is nuts, but oh so delicious. Well, since starting my weight loss plan I have cut calories here and there, had veggies for snacks, and have been working continuously on drinking 8 cups of water a day. So I considered changing my drink, but still enjoying it. So I walked right up to the counter, looked the Barista in the eye, and I told her I wanted fat free milk, and NO whipped cream.
I accomplished a miracle. I mean, I have the "one wont hurt me" mentality. But this one change saved me hundreds of calories, and get this: IT DIDN'T TASTE BAD AT ALL! Regardless of how well I stick with the food changes, this is something I will get for the rest of my life. I cant believe how much this little change will add up too.
Everyday you have the chance to make one small change, which can add up to something big. So I ask you: What is your small change today, and what big change do you plan to achieve?
