On the 5th day of December my health gave to me...

Ah yes, that vital, precious thing we often look forward to but rarely get enough of. I often get 5 hours on average of sleep, with an over 90% efficiency rate (according to my Body Media fit). Often around 94%. Still, not enough sleep, obviously.

So for the last 2 nights I've gotten between 7.5 hours and 8 hours, and life is good!

Sleep, precious sleep. It helps with stress levels, reaction time, and overall sharpness. It helps with weight-loss.

These are all things I know because I've experienced them with my own sleep patterns and habits.

With more sleep comes less stress. With more sleep comes less overeating because my body isn't trying to replace sleep with food. Also, my mind is sharper with more sleep, rationalizing any food choices better and not trying to make up for a lack of energy with food.

Sleep. It does the body good.

(there are many reports out there on sleep and weight-loss)

emoticon on getting your rest. Love sleep but always struggle with getting enough. When I am sleeping though, my weight loss is great, not so much if sleep is lacking.
