ReBooting My Life

Wednesday, December 05, 2012

I am in the midst of rebooting and regrouping my life as the last month of 2012 winds down. I have two more days on dayshift to work and then its countdown to my final exam, turning keys into my apartment and remembering the reason for the season.

I have good fond memories of celebrating Christmas as a child. My Mom let us decorate the house, put greetings on the door, lights in the window and plenty of good treats to eat. I remember heading to the mall and buying my presents and wrapping them so eloquently and strategically placing them under the tree. I have great memories of Christmas past.

Fast forward to now, 2012 as an adult. I plan on spending Christmas here in my greatest purchase this year in my new home, just resting and relaxing and giving thanks to our Lord for the birth of His Son. I may go visit a few friends, but overall its a celebration of the reason for the season and its my prayer that I truly honor God and give Him the glory and praise. I know now my Mom in heaven is okay, she is happy, healthy and well and truly will have another wonderful celebration in heaven. Although my heart is a bit heavy right now, I am keeping my thoughts and focus on my one true source and that is God and refusing to be weary in well doing.
