I FINALLY got back on the water today! I got up early, drove down to the boathouse, and grabbed the Level 2 single that fits me and got out there and rowed! I took hubs' GoPro, which I've never used before, and tried to get some pics. Most of them were terrible, but these are the best. I need to learn how to use that toy a little better.
Interior of part of the boathouse:
This is my boat as I get ready to carry it down to the water:
It was pitch black when I left, so I tried to get a pic of the city scape (the boathouse is in the heart of downtown, which is awesome), but it was a little bit of a mess:
After I got half way through the row, the sun started to come up. This is the view over my oar...
I got a super-fuzzy shot of the island that is the turn around point:
I crossed under the I-35 bridge on the way back and got a shot of my holding both oars with one hand:
This is my view headed back to the dock:
Some nautical type words for ya:
Here's the boat, from the dock-level view. In the background you can see the pretty bridges in the direction I did NOT go this time:
And this is the view from the dock as I was getting ready to come in and wash the boat:
This is the boat I took, out in slings. It's upside-down because this is the end of the row and I was washing the hull.
