Random thoughts for today

Wednesday, December 05, 2012

Well, today went well again. I wanted to overeat in the afternoon but I did not. Having herbal tea seems to stop the urge. I'll keep trying new herbal tea's just to keep it interesting. Luckily for me, my hubby quit coffee totally, so we have 5 different flavors or so!
I have been on spark way to much today. So to end the obsession for today I am logging in my Clean Greens Shake for dinner as I will enjoy it then calling it quits for today.
I met my goals for this week, today. Focusing on each day is very helpful. Small goals will keep me focused.
Water drank 100+ oz
2 cups coffee, 8 oz each
Clean greens shake planned & ready for dinnner!
SUCCESS today!

Tomorrow will be a challenge so if you see this, say a prayer for me!
I will be attending a Christmas party with pizza (kids party)! So I'll be bringing a yummy lunch of my own to not feel deprived. I will take a piece of fruit for dessert. I will bring lots of water & even an herbal tea. I think for my coffee in the am, I'll get one from the gas station so I can sip on it there! Tomorrow is my night to run 5 miles but I may opt for 10 since my hubby will be working overtime this weekend and I won't be able to disappear for too long! I really get bummed about paying a sitter $30-50 for a long run!! I have done it before but if I can avoid it...so much the better. The run is for sanity not for race training. My next race is not until April 2013--River to River, 80 miles across state of IL. Eight girls over 40, each running three 5k's in one day. Last year it took us 12 1/2 hours to finish & was AMAZING. We are returning this year to defend our 2nd place award for our age group!! LOL! Believe it or not, I was the youngest at 40, oldest was 64!! We rocked it!

I always struggle with wanting to eat in the afternoon...must be that midday lull.
I also love to run, but can't imagine ever paying a babysitter to do it! I have 4 kids ages 9, 5, 3, and 10 months. My hubby is a pastor, so his hours are flexible, but kind of undependable, too. I usually plan my runs in the morning before he leaves, unless it's too cold or dark.
Your race in April sounds neat! I live in IA, and they do a bike race across the state.
Your plan for tomorrow sounds great! Being prepared is key to making right choices!
