I actually started a blog to go along with the pictures, but it seemed to be rambling all over the place, so I'll just include the pictures and be done with it.
These are shots of a small section of the running/bicycle path in Busse Woods Forest Preserve northwest of Chicago. The entire path is about 10 miles long. Although it may look like a paved road in these pictures, each side of the yellow line is only wide enough for two people abreast.
The quality isn't the best. I took them with my cell phone, and my phone is not exactly "state of the art".
Great pics: remind me of why I loved to run (you're being smarter about it than I was, making sure to cross train and take days off between runs . . . . now I use the elliptical and rowing machines, and cross country ski in winter).
You've got a wonderful success story going, and deserve to be very proud of yourself!
