My last walk in Florida until the end of the year

Tuesday, December 04, 2012

I love to take walks near our home on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Yesterday was my last day of my nice walks in the spectacular weather. We are traveling to Ohio to visit our family for three weeks.

I enjoy the birds. There are so many varieties that I enjoy. Many are so beautiful and not extremely afraid of a person taking a photo.

On the gulf coast, my hubby and I have a favorite beach. Every December we look forward to sand characters built by a local artist. The theme is different every year. We saw the characters yesterday. I was happy to see them before we left for our trip.

I am in awe of others who have artistic talent.

One last photo to share.

emoticon Like the pictures! When we retire, my wife and I plan to live on the Florida Gulf Coast. We have told our children and other relatives, if they live where the winters are cold, we will visit in the summer and in the winter they must come to us. emoticon

Great photos! That is neat the birds come right up on the sidewalk!
That artist is a very skilled sculpter! It takes a special kind of talent to create in 3D!
Have a safe trip and enjoy your time with family even if the weather won't be so nice!
